It teaches readers that eliminating the $153,000 wealth gap between Black and White people is the solution to over 75% of our problems and offers solutions to help improve Black-White racial relations in the United States.

Steven S. Rogers, former professor of entrepreneurial finance at Harvard Business School, Rogers is the author of The Entrepreneur's Guide to Finance and Business and multiple Harvard Business School case studies and podcasts focused on Black business and financial issues. Rogers recently joined the Steans Family Foundation as an advisor to develop an economic plan for a poverty-stricken Black community in Chicago. In 2020, he toured 10 HBCUs where he taught a workshop titled “Entrepreneurial Finance for Black Entrepreneurs.” Rogers was named one of the top 150 influential people in America by Ebony Magazine.

In Divided by Design, Rodney Lewis takes the reader through the passage of time by using a blend of fiction, both realistic and unrealistic, along with metaphors to connect the past and present dispensations whilst revealing that the spirit of slavery, though disguised, still exists today.

Rodney D. Lewis is a 46-year-old business executive from Barbados and author of Divided by Design. Mr. Lewis holds a Bachelor of Science Degree with Honors from the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus. At present, he is the director of a Canadian offshore company that specializes in renewable energy. He also continues to serve as a marketing communications consultant across the region and abroad for one of the major media houses in the Caribbean. During his professional career, Mr. Lewis held several executive positions where he was instrumental in implementing groundbreaking initiatives for Fortune 500 companies. His passion for entrepreneurship led him to own and direct successful businesses for over a decade. Mr. Lewis also co-lectured a postgraduate class at the University of the West Indies in entrepreneurship and business finance.
