Brian "Box" Brown brings history and culture to life through his comics. In his next graphic novel, he unravels how marketing targeting children in the 1980s is shaping adults in the present day.

Brown is a favorite artist & author known for his trio of 1980's nonfiction nostalgia graphic novels; Andre the Giant, (a NYT bestseller), Tetris, and Is This Guy for Real.

In his recent nonfiction works, Cannabis, Accidental Czar (with writer Andrew S. Weiss), and Legalization Nation (a nationally syndicated comic strip), Brown has shifted his focus towards serious subjects, often shedding light on how people in power manipulate the disenfranchised. The He-Man Effect continues in that trajectory.

For nonfiction graphic novel readers and adults looking for a fun, page-turn history about pop culture and consumerism, this event is all ages, with a cash bar.
