In this blessed month, please join us in breaking fast, reading, writing, learning, and building community. Halal If You Hear Me is the 3rd volume of books by the BreakBeat Poetry collective; it is an this anthology of Muslim poets and creative writers (written by Muslim creative writers Fatimah Asghar & Safia Elhillo) celebrating the diversity of Islam, touching upon various topics such as race, gender, sexuality, love, and freedom.

The first Saturday of March, and subsequent Friday of March from 7-8pm, we will focus different parts of the book, with each section representing a pillar of Islam. Feel free to bring shareable food we can enjoy as we read and write about this work.
